What is a CC3.SB3 file?
A CC3.SB3 file is a development project created by Clipteam ClipCC, a modified version of MIT Scratch 3. It contains all of the project's assets, which typically consist of .JSON, .SVG, .WAV, and other files. CC3.SB3 files are renamed .ZIP files, so in addition to being able to open them with ClipCC, you can use any Zip-decompression utility to extract their contents.
More Information
Scratch is a block-based development environment that children and other aspiring programmers use to learn to code. ClipCC is a modified version of Scratch, developed by Clipteam and available for Windows, macOS, and Linux, as well as on the web. It contains additional features that extend and enhance Scratch's functionality.
When a developer saves a development project in ClipCC, it is saved as a CC3.SB3 file by default. This compound extension denotes that the project was created by ClipCC, and not the default version of Scratch. However, developers can open CC3.SB3 files with Scratch 3, just as they would any other .SB3 file.
How to open a CC3.SB3 file
You can open a CC3.SB3 file with Clipteam ClipCC or MIT Scratch. To do so, open either program and select File → Load from your computer. Then, navigate to and open your CC3.SB3 file.
If you want to extract and view the assets a CC3.SB3 file contains, you can change the file's extension to .ZIP and open it with any Zip-decompression utility, such as Windows' built-in Zip-decompression utility or Apple Archive Utility.
