¿Qué es un archivo USP?
A USP file is a scan profile configuration used by Zenmap, the graphical interface (GUI) for the Nmap network scanner. It stores descriptions of built-in and user-created scan profiles in a structured plain-text format using a configuration-file syntax similar to an .INI file. Each USP profile defines an Nmap command and description, letting users quickly repeat common network scans without retyping the same command-line options each time.

Network administrators, security professionals, penetration testers, and other Nmap users may use USP files to customize how Zenmap performs scans. For example, a profile can define an intensive scan, a UDP scan, or a scan of all TCP ports, and Zenmap can then load that profile from its interface.
USP files are stored in Zenmap's per-user configuration directory and include both default profiles and profiles created with Zenmap's Profile Editor. Each profile appears in its own named section and typically includes a command entry containing the Nmap command to run and a description entry explaining what the scan does.
