Was ist eine BACKUP1-Datei?
A BACKUP1 file is a split backup file created by a smartphone, tablet, or other device that uses the Android operating system. It contains a portion of the personal data that a user stored on the device, such as their contacts, files, and settings. BACKUP1 (and accompanying BACKUP2, BACKUP3, etc.) files are created when an Android device cannot store all of a user's data in a single .BACKUP file.

In the past, Android users could create BACKUP files by accessing their device's System Recovery Mode and selecting the option to back up their data. Typically, Android devices created and stored just one BACKUP file, but on certain Android devices with limited file allocation capabilities, backups were split into 2GB files saved with the .backup, .backup1, .backup2, and so on extensions.
After they were created, BACKUP1 files resided on an Android device's SD card. If needed, users could use their BACKUP files to restore their data or transfer it to a new Android device.

To restore a BACKUP file, first hold the power button and volume button on your Android device to start the device in System Recovery Mode. Then, select the option to restore user information from the System Recovery menu.
