File created by Samsung Kies, a desktop program that manages Samsung phone and tablet devices; contains backup data for different personal information items such as Contacts, S Memo, S Planner, Call Log, Music, Photos, User Preferences, and Messages.

To create a SBU file:
- Click the Back up/Restore tab.
- With the Data backup option selected, select the items you'd like to back up by clicking the check boxes.
- Click the Backup button, after the back up is completed, click Complete.
On Windows, the SBU files will be located here:
C:\Users\{username}\Documents\samsung\Kies\Backup
To restore SBU files to your device:
- Click the Back up/Restore tab.
- With the Restore data option selected, select the items you'd like to restore by clicking the check boxes.
- Click the Restore button, after the restore is completed, click Complete.
