A PDMOD file is a modification archive used by Payday games, such as Payday 2 and Payday: The Heist. It contains a Payday game modification, which is used to replace a model, sound, or texture that appears in the Payday game. PDMOD files may also be used to overwrite Payday programming.

PDMOD files are created and shared by gamers to change gameplay, such as character appearances, environments, and sound effects. You can create and install PDMOD files using PAYDAY Bundle Modder.
Any PDMOD files you install in Payday will be replaced by game updates from Steam. If you want to retain your PDMOD files through these updates, you need to uninstall the PDMOD files, update the game, then reinstall the PDMOD files.
