Mario Builder 64 is a hacking tool stored in a .BPS patch file that allows you to create custom stages for a Super Mario 64 .Z64 ROM file (must be legally acquired) that you can play with an emulator. You can also play MB64 levels saved to a Z64 ROM on an actual Nintendo 64, but you will need to use a flashcart device that supports SD cards to load the game via a cartridge.

如何打开 MB64 文件
You can open MB64 files with Mario Builder 64 in Windows, but you must have an emulator installed that supports virtual SD card emulation (Parallel Launcher is a common choice) and the correct Z64 ROM file. To patch the BPS patch and the Z64 ROM:
- Click the "Options" 3 line button in the top right corner.
- Select Manage ROM Sources, click the BPS Patches tab.
- Choose the Mario Builder 64 BPS patch file and the Super Mario 64 Z64 ROM file, and click Apply Patch.
You can then open Mario Builder 64 from the ROMs in the main menu in Parallel Launcher and open MB64 files from the Mario Builder 64 main menu.
