How to create an ANA file with Adobe Animate
You can create an ANA file by right-clicking a symbol in the panel in Animate, then choosing . Alternatively, you can select . Both of these methods for creating an ANA file present an "Export Asset" dialog where you can choose the assets you want to include:
- Objects - Shapes, graphics, etc., within the selected symbol.
- Bones - Inverse kinematics (IK) designed within the symbol to animate it.
- Motion - Any animation created with your provided assets.
- Audio - Sound files included with the selected symbol.

You can open ANA files with Adobe Animate (multiplatform). To open an ANA file, open the panel if it is not yet displayed by selecting . Then, select from the panel.
Since ANA files are compressed with Zip compression, you can also open them with a Zip decompression utility, such as Microsoft File Explorer (Windows), Apple Archive Utility (macOS), or Corel WinZip (Windows), to extract their contents. You may need to change the .ana file extension to .zip for the utility to open it.
