How to show file extensions in Windows 10

Step-by-step instructions

1. Open the File Explorer by clicking the folder icon in the Task Bar. You can also use the Windows key shortcut (Win+E) to open it.
2. Click the View menu and the top of the window.
3. Check the File name extensions checkbox in the top section of the window to show file extensions.
4. If you want to hide file extensions again, simply uncheck the checkbox.
