How to hide a file in Windows 11

In Windows 11, you can hide a file to prevent other users from accessing it. For example, you might want to hide a document that contains sensitive information, so others can’t view that document. To hide a file in Windows 11:

1. Right-click the file.
2. Select Properties.
3. Check the Hidden checkbox.
4. Click OK.

Your file is now hidden. If you want to see files you’ve hidden while browsing in Windows File Explorer, select View → Show → Hidden items from File Explorer’s menu bar.
