Method 1: Change what program opens an individual file
- Click a file, the select from the Finder menu. You can also right-click the file and select “Get Info” (⌘+I).
- Select the program from the drop down menu under “Open With.”
Method 2: Change what program opens all files of a certain file type
- Click a file, the select from the Finder menu. You can also right-click the file and select “Get Info” (⌘+I).
- Select the program from the drop down menu under “Open With.”
- Click “Change All…” under the drop down menu and select “Continue.”
