An NPK file contains information referenced by n-Track Studio to display the waveform for an audio file played by the digital audio workstation (DAW). Users cannot open NPK files; n-track Studio automatically generates the files when recording or importing audio files (the DAW also converts the audio files to .WAV files) to increase the loading speed of waveforms. Also, users can delete NPK files, but n-Track Studio will generate them again when displaying the waveform for the WAV file.

n-Track Studio is a professional-level DAW for recording, editing, and mixing audio. It includes various song production features, including a step sequencer, DEnoiser for reducing background noise, piano roll editor, and vocal and instrument modifying tools.
The software also provides a [UI|user_interface] that displays the waveform to provide a snapshot of WAVE recordings. You will likely find NPK files in the Audio\.ImageCache location in the same folder you save the Song Project .SNG file.
