Wat is een SJ-bestand?

An SJ file is an experiment log created by Arduino Science Journal, a free app students use to record results of experiments conducted using their smartphones and/or Arduino sensors. It contains text, images, and sensor data associated with an experiment. Users can export SJ files to share their experiment results with others.

Meer informatie

Students ages 10 to 18 use Arduino Science Journal to conduct scientific experiments using their smartphones and Arduino devices. For example, a class might conduct an experiment in which they measure changes in light and sound under certain conditions, using their smartphone's internal sensors.

Students save logs of their experiments and results in SJ files. Each SJ file contains data related to a specific experiment. SJ files may include written notes, images taken with a camera or imported from a photo gallery, and graphs of sensor data.

How to export an SJ file

After finishing an experiment, you may want to share your results with others. You can do so by exporting and sharing that experiment's SJ file. To export an SJ file:

  1. Open the related experiment in Science Journal and tap the three-dot More menu.
  2. Select DOWNLOAD.
  3. Choose your export destination.
  4. Name and save your SJ file.

Een SJ-bestand openen

You can open an SJ file in Arduino Science Journal (Android, iOS). To do so, transfer the file to a smartphone that has Arduino Science Journal installed. Then, tap the file to open it. The file will automatically open in Arduino Science Journal and be copied into your experiment library.
