Wat is een RK-bestand?
An RK file is a compressed archive created by RK Archiver or WinRK. It contains one or more files that have been compressed and packaged together for easier storage and sharing. RK files are quite rare, so no other programs can open them.

RK, also known as RK Archiver, and WinRK are archiving programs that were published by RK Software. These programs could save archives in several formats, including their native, proprietary RK format.
WinRK and RK Archiver compress RK files using several different compression algorithms, including PWCM, FPW, ROLZ2, ROLZ3, and others. In some cases, RK files are password-protected, to prevent unauthorized users from opening them.
OPMERKING: RK Software eventually changed its name to M Software.
Een RK-bestand openen
You can open an RK file with WinRK (Windows), which is discontinued but still available online. To do so, select from the program's menu bar, and then navigate to and open your RK file.
To extract the files your RK file contains:
- Select the button in WinRK's toolbar.
- In the window, specify the location at which to save your extracted files.
