Wat is een DDV-bestand?
A DDV file is a video file used by various games for the PlayStation (PS1) console, such as Metal Gear Solid and Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus, to store pre-rendered cutscenes. It contains compressed video data in a proprietary binary format that plays at specific moments in a game, such as introductions, story sequences, or level transitions. While DDV files are uncommon now, game developers often included DDV files on PS1 game discs to deliver cinematic content that could not be rendered in real time by the hardware.
