A CFORM file is a game data file used by various video games developed with the GSC Game World X-Ray Engine and the fan-made, open-source OpenXRay game engine. It stores map and level information in a proprietary format that a game references to load related data. Users should not attempt to open CFORM files; instead, developers using a game SDK, such as S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky SDK or Call of Pripyat SDK, generate CFORM files to store map and level data that users can play in the appropriate game.

GSC Game World developed the CFORM format for games built using its X-Ray Engine, including S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl (2007), Clear Sky (2008), and Call of Pripyat (2010). Fans of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series of games utilizing the X-Ray Engine then built the open-source OpenXRay game engine to improve upon the engine and build fan-made games, such as S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Anomaly to extend the series. These games also support CFORM files, which developers may generate with related game SDKs.
