REDDITVAULT 파일이란 무엇인가요?
A REDDITVAULT file is an encrypted backup of a Reddit Vault user's recovery phrase. It contains JSON-formatted plain text, which lists the recovery phrase's encryption type and the encrypted version of the phrase. Reddit Vault users can use REDDITVAULT files to access their Vault, in the event they forget or lose access to their recovery phrase.

Reddit Vault is a digital wallet available primarily in the iOS and Android versions of Reddit. It stores a record of a user's Community Points, Collectible Avatars, and other blockchain-based Reddit assets.
When a user creates their Reddit Vault wallet, the app generates a 12 word Recovery Phrase unique to that wallet. If a user loses access to their wallet, they can use their Recovery Phrase to regain access to it. For example, if a user is forced to uninstall and reinstall the Reddit app, they can use their Recovery Phrase to regain access to their wallet.
During the wallet creation process, Reddit Vault prompts users to both write down their Recovery Phrase and create a cloud backup of the phrase (typically stored in Google Drive or iCloud). Recovery Phrase backups are stored as encrypted plain text, saved within REDDITVAULT files.

To use a REDDITVAULT file to regain access to your Reddit Vault wallet, open Reddit Vault in the Android or iOS Reddit apps and begin creating a wallet. When you do, you'll see an option to use your Recovery Phrase to recover your wallet. Use that option to load the phrase saved in your REDDITVAULT file.
If necessary, you can use Microsoft Notepad, Apple TextEdit, or any other text editor to view the text your REDDITVAULT file contains. However, as the Recovery Phrase that a REDDITVAULT file contains is encrypted, opening it in a text editor is not especially useful.
