World designed in the Whirld open file format; created using the Unity 3D engine; contains a 3D world and corresponding settings, such as lighting, terrain, and player spawn locations.

A WHIRLD file can be saved and loaded in Unity after the Unity Whirld library has been installed. While some of the world features are supported in UTW files, some others may not be, including meshes and textures.
Completed WHIRLD files can be streamed by applications like Syn3h or exported to a standard web-compatible format.
