An SV8 file stores saved progress for a puzzle in version 8 of Lena Games BigJig, a jigsaw puzzle-solving game for Windows. It contains the progress of a puzzle a user is putting together, which includes the number of pieces and their placement on the board.

BigJig comes with various puzzles and options for customizing your puzzle-solving experience, including the size of the pieces and their shape styles. You can put together jigsaw puzzles packaged with the program (.JG6 and .JG4 files) and download more from the BigJig website.
When you save your puzzle progress in version 8 of BigJig, the program creates an SV8 file to store the puzzle progress. To create an SV8 file with version 8 of BigJig, click the Menu puzzle piece icon, then select File → Save Game or Save As....
