An SQB file is a game resource file used by Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It contains binary data that controls a character, item, or stage's voice and sound effects, by mapping in-game actions to corresponding audio files.

As an example, the character Link uses an SQB file named soundseq_Link.sqb. This SQB file references the .NUS3AUDIO files se_Link.nus3audio and vc_Link.nus3audio, which contain audio used for Link's attack sound effects and voice clips, respectively.

While most players will never encounter Super Smash Bros.'s SQB files, modders and other interested parties have created utilities that allow them to extract, edit, and repackage SQB files. For example, you can use the ARCropolis plug-in for Skyline to replace Smash Bros.'s default SQB files with your own, custom SQB files.
