POGファイルとは？
A POG file is a game data file used by Interplay Productions Descent 2, the sequel to the popular FPS Descent. It contains textures that replace those stored in the game's .PIG files. Descent 2 modders sometimes customize the game's POG files.

In the Descent series, players pilot a spaceship through several underground mines to eliminate an alien computer virus infecting those mines. Descent 2 is the middle game in the series.
The original Descent stored textures, sounds, and model data in PIG files. Descent 2 also contains PIG files, but uses POG files to replace some of the textures stored in its PIG files with updated versions.
POGファイルの開き方
POG files are not meant to be opened or modified by players. Some Descent modders have created utilities that allow them to modify POG files, but none of those utilities are currently available for download.
