Save state file created by ZSNES, a Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) emulator for PCs; stores a saved game snapshot that can be loaded at another time; used to save and load game progress.

ZSNES save states are not the same as in-game save states. In-game states may only be created when arriving at specific game milestones whereas ZSNES save states can be created at any time during gameplay.
NOTA: ZSNES provides numerous save states from 0 to 99 (file extensions .ZS0, .ZS1, .ZS2, and so on).
