Che cos'è un file JPS?

A JPS file is a stereoscopic JPEG image used for creating 3D effects from 2D images. It contains two static images, one for the left eye and one for the right eye that are encoded as two side-by-side images in a single .JPG file.

Maggiori informazioni

Stereo images contain two copies of same image, each with slight variations, or perspectives, from the other. In this manner, a viewer can see a 3D effect from the 2D images when viewing the image in one of three ways:

  • Cross-eye View: The viewer looks at the static side-by side image using a "cross-eye" stare
  • Anaglyph View: The two images are overlaid on each other and the viewer wears 3D glasses.
  • 3D Rendering: An application renders the 2D images into a resulting 3D image.
NOTA: JPS files can be saved by stereo cameras, which have two or more lenses.

Backup archive format created by Akeeba software, which is used for backing up and securing websites; stores a whole backup of a website; includes the database, the restoration script, and any other related files.

Maggiori informazioni

The JPS format is designed to create archives of large directory trees only using PHP code. JPS is similar to the .JPA format but is more secure. The JPS format splits the file descriptor and file data to 64Kb blocks encrypted using AES-128 in CBC mode. Also, the format uses Deflate (ZLib) to compress all files.

The JPS extension may be used for multi-part Akeeba backup archives. If the backup of a website is split into multiple files, a JPA file and .J01 file will be created with a JPS file created as the last file in the multi-part set.
