What is a ZMC file?
File created by ZoneAlarm Antivirus, an antivirus program that protects computers against viruses, malware, and hackers; contains email file attachment contents that are flagged as suspicious; used for identifying and quarantining suspicious email attachments.
ZMC files are created by renaming the original email attachment with an additional ".zmc" file extension. ZoneAlarm automatically sends these files into a quarantine folder within the ZoneAlarm installation to keep them separate from the rest of the file system.
NOTE: Do not open ZMC files unless you are certain of their file contents because they may contain viruses. Original email attachments may be viewed by removing the ".zmc" file extension and opening the resulting file.
