What is a YOBJ file?
A YOBJ file is a 3D model used in a video game developed by Yuke's. It contains mesh data, bones, shaders, and information used to apply textures to the model. It does not contain the textures themselves. YOBJ files are most prominently used in the WWE 2K series.
More Information
WWE 2K is a series of pro wrestling video games. Prior to 2K20, games in the series were developed by Yuke's. 2K19 and earlier entries use 3D models saved in the YOBJ format.
Each YOBJ file contains a compressed and encrypted .OBJ file and other associated data. While YOBJ files are not meant to be opened by players, modders have created tools that allow them to open and modify the files.
NOTE: Some YOBJ files are instead saved with the .jboy extension.
How to open a YOBJ file
You can open a YOBJ file with Autodesk 3ds Max (Windows) after installing the YOBJ 3ds Max Importer plug-in. You can also open a YOBJ file with tekken57 X-Rey (Windows) or reShape (Windows).
