What is a TW3 file?
A TW3 file is a configuration file created by TAL Technologies TCPWedge, a program used to collect data from devices and import it into applications. It contains configuration information for connecting to an instrument on a network or over the Internet and the application the data is being sent to.
TCPWedge is typically used to collect data from scientific devices, such as sensors and meters, and send the data to applications, such as Microsoft Access or Excel. When you create a device and application configuration, you can save it and reuse it instead of having to create the configuration from scratch again.
To create a TW3 file in WinWedge, select File → New, set the configuration, then select File → Save or Save As.... To open a TW3 file in TCPWedge, select File → Open.... You can also double-click the file if you have the WinWedge suite already installed on your computer. This method automatically opens TCPWedge and loads the configuration.
NOTE: TCPWedge is only available with the WinWedge Professional package.
