What is a TNY file?

Animated image sequence used by Atari ST systems, which were discontinued in 1993; includes multiple bitmap animation frames, as well as the duration and speed for the sequence; used for creating animated images with various resolutions.

TNY files are also stored in low-res (.TN1 files), medium-res (.TN2 files), and high-res (.TN3 files) formats.
