What is a T02 file?
A T02 file is a tax return created by H&R Block TaxCut 2002, a discontinued U.S. federal and state tax preparation application. It contains multiple tax forms and a user's personal and financial information entered into the forms fields for the 2002 tax year.
H&R Block TaxCut was available for Windows and macOS, but H&R Block replaced the application in the 2009 tax year with H&R Block At Home. H&R Block then rebranded At Home software as Tax Software.
T02 files store tax preparation information saved by a user to save their progress. After saving a tax return, users can close the T02 file, then reopen it to work on it further. After completing the tax return, the user could file it.
How to open a T02 file
You can open a T02 file with H&R Block TaxCut 2002 and subsequent versions of TaxCut. However, recent versions of H&R Block software do not support T02 files.
