What is an STORYMILL file?
Project file created by StoryMill, an application used to write novels; stores the book's written chapters as well as information for actors, scenes, and locations; also stores tasks and research data used during the writing process.
Authors use StoryMill project files to compile all book information together. After a book has been drafted, they can publish the novel to several different file formats, including .PDF, .DOCX, .DOC, .HTML, .RTF, .RTFD, and .WEBARCHIVE.
Mariner Software introduced the STORYMILL extension with StoryMill 3.0.2. StoryMill projects previously used the .AVENIRPROJ extension. Both file types can be used interchangeably with current software versions.
NOTE: Mariner Software discontinued the development of StoryMill.
