Settings file created by Sunlite Suite, an application suite used for staging and controlling computerized lighting systems; describes a light fixture and includes the geometry, movement, number of channels, lamp power, light emission shapes (gobo), and other properties for the light fixture.

SSL2 files are created by ScanLibrary, the light fixture editing program included with Sunlite Suite.
A lighting show can include several different types of fixtures. This allows stage and lighting professionals to create customized light shows for entertainment venues. Nicolaudie, the developers of Sunlite Suite, provide a library of SSL2 files available on their website.
NOTE: The SSL2 format replaced Nicolaudie's previous .SSL format. SSL files can be converted to SSL2 files using Sunlite Suite 2.
