An RPGMVP file is an .M4A audio file that has been encrypted by RPG Maker MV, a program used to create role-playing games (RPG). It contains an M4A audio file that is played in the game as music, narration, or a sound effect. RPGMVM files are encrypted by RPG Maker MV when deploying a project as an executable package to be played by other users.

When creating a game in RPG Maker MV, users can create M4A audio for different elements of the game. When the project is deployed, the audio files are encrypted and placed in the game directory:
Documents\<Game Title>\www\audio\
The audio files are encrypted to protect against modification and are not meant to be manually opened. However, users can decrypt RPGMVM files using Petschkos RPG-Maker MV-File Decrypter.
NOTE: .OGG files may also be used for audio in the RPG Maker MV game. They are encrypted as .RPGMVO files by RPG Maker MV.
