What is an RDP file?
Contains the necessary information for a connection to a terminal server, including the configuration of the options when the file was saved; used by Microsoft's Remote Desktop Services and related applications.
RDP files contain several parameters, including server address, port number, username, password, domain, desktop size, screen mode, and several others. They are saved in a plain text format that can be edited with a text editor.
