What is a PSTEMPLATE file?
A PSTEMPLATE file is a movie project template created by Corel Pinnacle Studio, a video-editing application. It contains video project information, including settings and placeholders for media imported into the timeline. Pinnacle Studio users save projects as PSTEMPLATE files, which are similar to .AXP files, to replicate projects with similar content.

Pinnacle Studio is a video editor for Windows that provides various features for editing videos, such as home movies and slideshows. As you edit a project with the software, you can save the progress in the default AXP file format is the default format.
However, if you want to create multiple video projects with the same settings, you can save the project as a PSTEMPLATE file. When saving the file, the template stores placeholders for the media (imported videos, audio, and images) where users can insert other media. To save a project as a PSTEMPLATE, select File → Save Movie As Template.
