An MTQ file is a data file created by Mustaq, a program for composing musical scores. It stores plain text information in the Mustaq (MTQ) format that the program references when generating scores, enabling it to export them in different formats, such as .PDF documents, .JPG images, and .WAV audio. Since MTQ files contain plain text, users can open and edit MTQ files with a text editor if they do not have access to Mustaq.
