What is a JDF file?
XML file created by Adobe Acrobat, an application used to create and edit .PDF documents; contains job ticket and workflow instructions for printing; may include ink requirements, page orderings, print quantities, preflight profiles, and other requirements.
JDF files are used for facilitating communication between design, production, prepress, and printing groups. They are often distributed by the print provider so that documents are printed according to their standards.
