What is an EXE4J file?

File created by Exe4j, a program used to create Windows .EXE files using .JAR files; contains application configuration settings, such as the splash screen, compile options, Java invocation options, and executable information; enables Java applications to be generated into Windows executable files.

Exe4j applications may be created using the Exe4j wizard or the command-line program exe4jc.exe, which is found in the bin directory of the Exe4j installation.

NOTE: EXE files created by Exe4j require a Java Runtime Environment installation to run properly.
