What is an ENLX file?
File created by contains all of the data from an EndNote library (.ENL file) but saves it in a compressed format; can be used as an archival format, but more often used for transferring libraries between users over email.
ENLX files can contain file attachment articles (e.g., .PDF files) for citations in addition to the citation information.
To create an ENLX file choose File → Compressed Library (.enlx) ... from the EndNote application menu. To import an ENLX file, choose File → Open → Open Library....
