.DZ File Extension

Compressed file created by Dzip, a command line utility used for compressing and decompressing files; saves the archive in a proprietary format that sometimes can be created and extracted more quickly and with a higher compression ratio than other compression methods.

Because of its small file size, the Dzip program is sometimes saved to discs alongside the compressed DZ files.

Game file used by Land of the Dead: Road to Fiddler's Green, a zombie first-person shooter game; saves the structure of a level and includes terrain, buildings, items, and other map features; stored in the \Land of the Dead\Levels\ directory.
