What is a COX file?
A COX file is an extension created by Clickteam to add extra features to Multimedia Fusion and The Games Factory (TGF). Examples of features saved in COX files include objects, characters, and other resources than enhance the software.
Clickteam Multimedia Fusion and The Games Factory are apps for developing games and software. The software allows you to install extensions (saved as COX files) to add features not included with the original distribution.
NOTE: Clickteam replaced COX files with .MFX files when it released version 2 of Multimedia Fusion and The Games Factory. Version 1.5 of these apps was the last version of the programs to use COX files.
How to open a COX file
Version 1.5 and earlier of Clickteam Multimedia Fusion and Clickteam The Games Factory support COX extensions. You can install a COX extension in either of the apps by placing the COX file in the "Extensions" folder of the Windows app installation directory.
