What is a CLG file?
Catalog file used by Windows System Image Manager (Windows SIM); contains information describing the contents of a .WIM image, including the state of all packages and components; used to display WIM file contents without having to read an entire image file.
CLG files are commonly found on Windows installation discs. For example, the files HOMEBASIC.clg, HOMEPREMIUM.clg, PROFESSIONAL, STARTER.clg, and ULTIMATE.clg are located in the sources directory on Windows 7 installation discs.
NOTE: While WIM files can be several gigabytes in size, CLG files may be less than one megabyte in size.
