What is a BRIDGECACHE file?
A BRIDGECACHE file is a cache file generated by Adobe Bridge, an Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) file management application. It contains exported metadata for the files (images, video, etc.) stored in the same folder. BRIDGECACHE files are similar to .BCM, .BC, and .BCT Bridge cache files.
More Information
To create a BRIDGECACHE file:
- Navigate to the folder you'd like to build a cache file.
- Select Tools → Cache → Build and Export Cache....
- Then, to view your BRIDGECACHE file, select View → Show Hidden Files.
Cached files like BRIDGECACHE files can also take up storage space, so to remove them navigate to their folder and select Tools → Cache → Purge Cache For Folder "foldername".
How to open a BRIDGECACHE file
BRIDGECACHE files are not meant to be opened. Instead, Adobe Bridge references the metadata in the file and displays it for the items in the folder when you view the folder with Bridge.
