More Information
BLD files are used to design buildings, generate building documents, and specify building materials. They are also used to verify specifications and to visualize buildings before their construction. BLD files can be exported to .DWG format.

Skyscraper Simulator Building Script

A BLD file may also be a building script used by Skyscraper Simulator, a 3D building simulator. It contains a building, which includes information that describes the appearance of the building. BLD files also include the name, designer, location, description, version, and camera floor, position, and rotation of the building.
More Information
If you come across a BLD file and want to view the contents you can open it with a text editor and view it the same way you would view a .TXT file. You can view the name, number of elevators or staircases, floor assignments, and textures for the lobby, windows, carpet, walls, and more.
However, if you want to view the building the file is storing information for, you should place the BLD file in the "buildings" folder where the game is installed. In Windows, you should place the file in the following directory:
C:\Program Files\skyscraper\buildings\
After placing it in the directory, open Skyscraper Simulator, select "Other Building..." in the main menu, navigate to your BLD file, and open it.

Baldi’s Basics Plus Level Editor Level Project

A BLD file may also be a level file created with the legacy version of the Baldi’s Basics Plus Level Editor, a tool used to design custom levels for Baldi’s Basics Plus. It contains data that defines a level's layout, including room placement, item locations, textures, and gameplay elements. Players used BLD files to create and test their own levels before loading them into the game.
More Information
The legacy level editor was part of an earlier version of Baldi’s Basics Plus, a 3D horror-education game developed by Basically Games. It allowed users to experiment with custom map creation, though the tools and format were later replaced as the game evolved.
The editor used the BLD format to store all map-related data in a single, editable file so that users could save, share, or reload their work easily. The editor could compile BLD files into .CBLD files, a format that stores optimized data for faster loading and use in the game engine, which the game reads and loads during gameplay.
How to open a BLD file
You can open BLD files with Baldi's Basics Plus Level Editor, which is a modding tool for Baldi’s Basics Plus. However, the mod is legacy, no longer developed.
