What is a @EX file?
An @EX file is a map included in Topics Entertainment National Geographic Maps. It contains multiple .JFIF images used to show a map at different zoom levels and resolutions.
Topics Entertainment National Geographic Maps is an 8-CD set that allows users to view maps published throughout National Geographic's history. Each map also includes interactive extras, such as associated photos, videos, or audio. National Geographic Maps was available for Windows 95 and 98.
The maps that National Geographic Maps uses are saved as @EX files. Each @EX file includes the following header:

Each @EX file also includes multiple JFIF segments, which are used to show a map to a user at various zoom levels and resolutions.
How to open a @EX file
You can open @EX files in Topics Entertainment National Geographic Maps (Windows). However, Maps can run on only Windows 95 and Windows 98.
If you want to view the map images an @EX file contains outside National Geographic Maps, you can do so by printing the file using a virtual PDF printer, such as PDFCreator (Windows).
