Wat is een TRIM.CIA-bestand?
A TRIM.CIA file is a trimmed .CIA archive created by GodMode9, a file browser for the Nintendo 3DS console. It contains a CTR importable archive but with all unnecessary data removed. TRIM.CIA files include Nintendo 3DS game content, TMD (title metadata), and a ticket (format that stores an encrypted titlekey).

GodMode9 can be used to open TRIM.CIA files on a Nintendo 3DS console. In order to open it on a computer you can remove the ".trim" extension and leave the ".cia" extension in order to open the file as a CIA file. The ctrtool can be used to read and extract CIA files.
