What is a YRCBCK file?
A YRCBCK file is a backup file created by YRC Group Weblink, a web browser for Windows. It contains a copy of a user's history, bookmark archive files (.YRCBKM files), saved form information, and settings. Weblink users can load a YRCBCK file to import their data into another instance of Weblink.
More Information
Weblink is a web browser that was published by the Indian company YRC Group, which has since become Yash Impacts. YRC Group discontinued Weblink in 2014, but the program is still available for download from Yash Impacts' website.
Users can save a copy of their Weblink data to a YRCBCK file. This allows them to back up their data and reload it if, for example, they are forced to reinstall Weblink. To create a YRCBCK file in Weblink:
- From Weblink's menu, select Start Backup Manager.
- From the YRC Backup Manager window, select Make a Backup.
- Select the Weblink data you want to save. Then, select Make backup.
The YRCBCK file will be saved with a filename that uses the format backup-dd-mm-yy.yrcbck. This allows you to quickly see when the file was created.
How to open a YRCBCK file
