What is a WBOX file?
A WBOX file is a game map used by version 0.7 and above of WorldBox, a fantasy world simulator. Players can use WBOX files to load other players' maps in their own instance of WorldBox.
More Information
WorldBox is a "god simulator" available for PC, Android, and iOS. When a player starts a game of WorldBox, they generate a map upon which the game is played. This map is saved as a WBOX file within the player's game save.
Players can retrieve and transfer WBOX files to share the maps they've created with other players. WBOX files are stored in save# folders located in the following directories:
- PC: ~/mkarpenko/WorldBox/saves (this directory may be hidden)
- Android: Android/data/com.mkarpenko.worldbox/files/saves
- iOS: var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/WorldBox/Documents/saves (accessible on only jailbroken iOS devices)
If you have multiple game saves, your saves folder will contain multiple save# folders (save1, save2, etc.).
How to open a WBOX file
WBOX files are not meant to be opened manually by players. To use a WBOX file with WorldBox, place the file in one of your game save folders (e.g. ~/mkarpenko/WorldBox/saves/save1). Then, load that saved game in WorldBox.
