What is a W3Z file?
A W3Z file is a mission save created by Warcraft III and the Warcraft III Frozen Throne expansion pack. It saves a player's current progress and allows the game to be loaded and continued at a later time.

Multiplayer games (such as Battle.net matches) can be saved as well. However, each user must load the saved game for the match to resume correctly.
