What is a QSMD file?
A QSMD file is a stop motion animation project created by qStopMotion. It contains a record of the frames, takes, and scenes that comprise a stop motion animation. QSMD files are used to export animations as .MP4s and other types of videos.
When moviemakers save an in-progress animation project in qStopMotion, the project is saved as a QSMD file. A QSMD file is an XML file that contains information about the frames, takes, and scenes a project includes. After a user finishes editing their animation, they can use their QSMD file to export the animation as an MP4 or other video file.
How to open a QSMD file
You can open a QSMD file in qStopMotion (Linux, Windows). To do so, open the program and select Open project file from the menu that appears.
