.QBMB File Extension

Company backup data file created by Mac versions of QuickBooks small business accounting software; contains the backup copy of a company data file, which may have a .QB2012, .QB2011, etc. extension; used for restoring a recent copy of the original data file in the event it becomes corrupted.

To restore a QBMB file to a company data file, you can rename its extension to the extension of the original data file. For example, if the QBMB file is a backup of a QB2012 file, you can rename its extension to ".qb2012" to restore the company information.
