What is a QBB file?
Backup file created by QuickBooks, a money management application; stores a full backup of company financial data, letters, templates, and logos; used for restoring the original data in the event that the primary .QBW is lost or becomes corrupted.
QBB files are created by the Windows version of QuickBooks, but they may also be exported from the Mac version by choosing File → Back Up to QuickBooks for Windows... from the application menu (QuickBooks 2012).
NOTE: In some cases, you may need to change the file extension from ".qbb" to ".qbw" in order for the file to open correctly in QuickBooks.
