What is a PICNC file?
Raster image created by Houdini Apprentice, the reduced version of the full Houdini 3D modeling software; includes color values, the color map, and the image size; used for storing rendered 3D models.
PICNC stands for Picture Non-Commercial, since PIC files are not for commercial use. The full version of Houdini stores .PIC files, which can be used for commercial purposes.
Unlike .HIPNC files, PICNC files are not saved with a watermark. However, when PICNC files are exported to other industry file formats, Houdini Apprentice then adds the watermark.
